The Profile Tab:
Underneath the "Profile" tab you may have:
- The word "Box" with "Available (add)".
- If you click "add" then a box that contains this application will show up on your wall.
- If the box has already been added, then click "remove" to remove it.
Alternatively, some applications also have "Tab (add)" in this area.
In this case a tab would be added to your profile containing this application.
Just like the box, if the tab HAS already been added, just click the "remove" link to remove it.
Not all applications use the profile boxes.
Profile and Page Roadmap Update:
Recently at October Facebook Announced a plan which is related to remove application boxes and application info sections as well as reduce the width of application tabs to optimize for the new profile and Facebook page format the strong reason to removing Boxes is users are messaging and communicating through boxes, to avoid it Facebook team removed the Boxes in August 23rd. In August 23 they are also changed the Application Tabs due to implement the new layouts and new custom tabs for optimizing the profiles and Facebook pages format. Now In Facebook All profile and Page tabs are re sized.
All These updates Provides simple navigation for users and reduces complexity of Facebook developers. Facebook taken all these changes based on feedback from Facebook developers.
